Frente a la polémica actual que vincula a la ministra de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación, Karen Abudinen, por el escándalo de un contrato firmado para instalar centros digitales en las zonas rurales más apartadas del país, se conoció que se dio un anticipo de 70.000 mil millones para su ejecución y que hoy en día aparentemente están perdidos.
El contrato por 2.1 billones de pesos fue otorgado a las empresas Centros Poblados (que no tienen ningún tipo de experiencia, ni capacidad técnica) y Claro- Comcel.
Por su parte el senador Petro en las últimas horas y por medio de su cuenta en Twitter, publicó un artículo que habla sobre unas investigaciones minuciosas a los integrantes que conforman la empresa Centros Poblados, en donde se encontró que la mayoría de estos personajes tienen presuntos vínculos con corrupción en anteriores contratos.
Dentro de la lista de integrantes está: Carlos Enrique Páramo Samper quien en 2018 trabajó para la Alcaldía de Barranquilla y es investigado por la Contraloría, Juan Carlos Cáceres Bayona quien aseguró un contrato con dineros de las regalías para otorgar clases en 38 municipios de la Guajira cuando esta solo tiene 15.
Así mismo, el ingeniero Álvaro Cruz, quien fue condenado a seis años de prisión por interés indebido en la celebración de contratos, cohecho y abuso de confianza calificado. Entro otros personajes con asuntos similares en su currículo.
Por ello, el líder de la Colombia Humana no dudó en calificar este contrato como corrupto y rechazó la idea de que los más afectados sean los niños de los 7.468 colegios, ubicados en zonas rurales de 15 departamentos del país, los cuales iban a ser beneficiados.
