María Juliana Ruíz, primera dama de la Nación, hizo su intervención en medio del evento al que asistieron miles de jóvenes de todos los países.
Refiriéndose al tema de las protestas y las manifestaciones presentadas en Colombia, la primera dama aseguró que “el Gobierno colombiano ha estado trabajando en un pacto con los jóvenes de todas las regiones, creando escenarios de diálogo con las instituciones para resolver problemas que calificó de “legítimos”.

Agregó que “Mi mensaje para ustedes, para todos los que nos están escuchando, es que tanto los tomadores de decisiones, como los jóvenes, necesitan reconocer y abrazar el poder de la escucha, la importancia de la concertación como mecanismo para superar los retos que nos asedian como humanidad, así como las dificultades a las que podamos estar confrontados en el futuro”.
Así mismo, invitó a los jóvenes a tener una corresponsabilidad y a impulsar acciones constructivas para lograr un cambio y un mejoramiento en la sociedad: “Dejemos de ser manipulados por las percepciones y la desinformación que eclipsa la realidad, que frustra y pone en riesgo a nuestros países”.
Por último, destacó que han logrado la participación de 11.000 mil jóvenes durante 380 encuentro realizados en varias regiones del país.
