En meses pasados, la exembajadora de Colombia ante la ONU, Adriana del Rosario Mendoza, estuvo envuelta en un escándalo por presunta corrupción, ya que la funcionaria habría usado recursos públicos para gastos privados.
A pesar de la investigación que adelanta la Procuraduría en contra de Adriana Rosario, esta fue nombrada para ejercer el cargo de embajadora de Colombia en Finlandia.
En el documento de nombramiento, se expone que ella es la persona idónea para el puesto diplomático.
«Dado el nivel de relacionamiento político con el Gobierno de la República de Finlandia, se hace necesaria una gestión del más alto nivel, para lo cual, deberá enviarse un funcionario escalafonado en la categoría de Embajador a dicho país, quien ostentará la calidad de Jefe de Misión», expuso la canciller Claudia Blum respecto al nombramiento.
Según una investigación del medio digital, Cuestión Pública, entre los gastos irregulares de la nueva embajadora se encontraban muebles y costosas cenas.
En los recibos hallados por por el equipo investigativo de ese medio de comunicación, se encontró una costosa salida a comer a la que Mendoza habría invitado a sus empleados a almorzar en el restaurante Together de Ginebra. Por su comida y la de sus acompañantes, la funcionaria habría pagado 175,50 francos suizos, es decir $800.000 colombianos.
Este es el hilo en el cual, Cuestión Pública, expone cada uno de los gastos irregulares de Adriana del Rosario, en donde además se menciona un costoso almuerzo con el entonces canciller y hoy ministro de Defensa, Carlos Holmes Trujillo.
