El presidente, Iván Duque, haría el nombramiento en las próximas horas.
Desde este fin de semana existía el rumor de que Diego Molano, actual director de la Presidencia de la República y exconcejal de Bogotá, sería nombrado como nuevo ministro de Defensa.
Fuentes cercanas al diario El Tiempo le aseguraron a ese medido de comunicación, que el nombramiento de Molano se estaría dando en la mañana de este lunes 1 de febrero.
¿Pero quién es Diego Molano?

Diego Molano es administrador de empresas de la Universidad del Rosario con especialización en Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad Javeriana, y maestría en administración pública de la Universidad de Columbia (EE.UU.).
Fue concejal de Bogotá por el Centro Democrático, director de la Fundación Bavaria, y director del ICBF y de Acción Social.
El nuevo miembro del gabinete del presidente Duque es ampliamente conocido por una propuesta que causó controversia hace un tiempo, pues Molano incentivó la creación de un ‘protestódromo’ para aquellos ciudadanos que quisieran manifestarse en contra del gobierno de turno.

Diego Molano es designado como nuevo Ministro de Defensa. Su experiencia en seguridad fue proponer el “protestódromo” para encerrar a los manifestantes como ganado. Difícil la tendrán líderes sociales y firmantes de paz con un ministro que infantiliza la protesta y a sus actores.
