El senador Jota Pe Hernández fue fuertemente criticado por el pronunciamiento que realizó frente al acto simbólico que llevó a cabo el gobierno de Gustavo Petro, para presentar la reforma a la salud.
El Ministerio de Salud y la Presidencia convocaron a toda la ciudadanía a la radicación de la reforma para reestructurar el Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud.
La cita era en la Plaza de Armas de la Casa de Nariño a las 3:00 p.m., sin embargo, el acto estaba previsto para iniciar a las 5:00 p.m.

Sin embargo, varios congresistas del Pacto Histórico y otras bancadas controvirtieron lo dicho por el parlamentario, compartiendo fotos y videos del acto con el aforo completo.
