En ese contexto y después de que la Cámara de Representantes aprobara en segundo debate el uso de esta planta para fines recreativos, el expresidente y líder del Centro Democrático, Álvaro Uribe, dio a conocer su preocupación.

“Quizás por viejo, pero como padre y abuelo, que me preocupa el futuro de las nuevas generaciones, presentaré hoy en Villavicencio 15 puntos cortos de oposición a la legalización recreativa de la marihuana“, señaló el exmandatario.
Entre sus razones, Uribe indica que el Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar concluyó que el 41% los delitos de los jóvenes y menores corresponde a quienes han estado consumiendo alcohol o droga.
Uribe también invitó a sus copartidarios a tomar acción para evitar que los jóvenes terminen como “habitantes de calle“ sino que sean “estudiosos, estén en la cultura, en el deporte y construyan familias“.
Ante las declaraciones del expresidente, el reconocido caricaturista Julio César González más conocido como ‘Matador’ decidió responderle, asegurando que la adicción al poder es más mortal y que por lo mismo Uribe debería buscar rehabilitación.
