El presidente Gustavo Petro aseguró este jueves, a través de sus redes, que las personas que conforman la terna que envió a la Corte Suprema de Justicia –para la elección del próximo Fiscal General– está conformada por “mujeres probas” que ayudarían a darle más transparencia al manejo de esa entidad judicial.
Petro, quien está en una dura confrontación con el actual fiscal General, Francisco Barbosa, advirtió que, con la decisión que este jueves comienza a analizar el alto tribunal, se le debe dar un giro al ente acusador.

“Cualquiera que sea la decisión de la Corte, espero que, a partir de esa decisión, la Fiscalía nunca más se dedique a perseguir colombianos por razones políticas o económicas y nunca más se permita que se use para encubrir el crimen”, enfatizó Petro.
El mandatario añadió que su Gobierno, a través del ministro de Justicia, Néstor Osuna, comienza el diseño de una reforma a la Fiscalía. Ese proceso, de concretarse, debe necesariamente pasar por el Congreso y allí, al menos a la fecha, la Casa de Nariño no tiene unas mayorías claras.
“El Ministro de Justicia tiene hoy la tarea de configurar una comisión de reforma a la justicia que busque simplificarla, empoderarla, volverla efectiva y cercana a la ciudadanía”, precisó el Jefe de Estado.
La Corte Suprema elegirá al reemplazo de Barbosa de una terna, elaborada por Petro, que está conformada por Ángela María Buitrago, Luz Adriana Camargo y Amelia Pérez.
