El representante a la Cámara, Germán Navas Talero, fue certero en su intervención en el debate de moción de censura contra el ministro de Defensa, Carlos Holmes Trujillo.
Este, era uno de los debates más esperados por la ciudadanía en el Congreso de la República, varios líderes de la oposición se pronunciaron respecto a como el ministro está llevando la dirección de una de las corporaciones públicas más importantes del país.
El primer turno fue para la Cámara de Representantes, allí, los partidos aliados del gobierno se centraron en defender a Trujillo, mientras que varios parlamentarios de oposición, mostraron piezas audiovisuales y pruebas sobre los abusos de la fuerza pública que se han venido presentando desde las movilizaciones del año pasado. El senado también hará un debate de moción de censura contra el funcionario la próxima semana.
Una de las intervenciones que más llamó la atención, fue la del representante Germán Navas Talero del Polo Democrático, el parlamentario aseguró que Trujillo estaba acabando con la Fuerza Pública, además dijo que el ministro es «Un inepto para manejar una de las mejores fuerzas militares de América hasta antes de que el funcionario asumiera el liderazgo de esa cartera»
Navas talero también le reclamó al ministro del Gobierno Duque sobre lo sucedido con Dilan Cruz y otras acciones de uniformados de Policía y Ejército. El parlamentario le pidió la renuncia a Holmes Trujillo y dijo que este no había sido capaz de poner orden en el desorden de la casa:
