De acuerdo a la querella que hizo llegar a la Sala de Instrucción de la Corte Suprema de Justicia, “el senador Bolívar incurre como autor de una imputación delictiva, frente a mi buen nombre y honor, pero también comete una gran injusticia”.
Posteriormente agregó: “No tengo ánimo de polemizar con el senador, a quien respeto en su ejercicio funcional, también le tengo consideración personal, especialmente desde cuando escuché en medios de comunicación que el reconocido actor Bruno Díaz, llorando en una conocida emisora, responsabiliza a Gustavo Bolívar del suicidio de su hijo, por no haberle pagado unas cuentas derivadas de unos contratos”.
