En las últimas horas se conoció una serie de publicaciones en Twitter, las cuales documentan el supuesto plagio de Arias en su trabajo de grado durante la maestría que curso en la Universidad el Externado.
La presidente de la Cámara de Representantes vuelve a estar en el ojo del huracán, luego de que se divulgaran algunos trinos que sustentarían que la tesis presentada por Arias en el año 2016 habría sido producto de un plagio, ya que se copiaron algunos fragmentos de un trabajo realizado en México.
Frente a este hecho, el portal Plagios SOS publicó una investigación en donde se encontró que esta tesis del programa de Magíster en Gobierno y Políticas Publicas no aparece en la pagina de la Universidad el Externado.
En este orden, se realizó un «bosquejo» en diferentes portales para dar con el documento académico que habría sido presentando por Arias encontrándolo en la plataforma Prezi, con el nombre de: «Las OCAD´S y su contradicción con las teorías de elección racional”, con autoría de Jennifer Arias y Leydy Largo (2016).
Pero lo curioso de este hecho, fue que el trabajo se encontró «mutilado» y además se determinó que en su gran mayoría de las 11 paginas que se pueden ver en el archivo algunos párrafos corresponden a otro documento académico, desarrollado por un escritor mexicano en el año 2000 para una revista de sociología.
Tanto fue el revuelo en redes sociales, que Alain De Remes La Brely, escritor del artículo original se refirió sobre el trabajo entregado por Jennifer Arias: «Efectivamente son extractos idénticos del texto que escribí en el 2000 para la Revista Mexicana de Sociología. Se vale usar las ideas, pero citando al autor. Sino es plagio», escribió el mexicano en su cuenta de Twitter.
