Este programa, en alianza con el Ministerio de Justicia y el INPEC, impacta a más de 5,000 personas privadas de la libertad en 58 centros penitenciarios del país. A través de talleres artísticos, no solo se brinda formación musical, sino que se abre un camino hacia la esperanza, la reconciliación y el amor por las raíces culturales.
“En la cultura no hay límites”, reflexiona Henry. Para él, la música no es solo una actividad, es un puente hacia la resocialización, una oportunidad para reconectar consigo mismo y con su identidad. Bajo la guía de Carolina Manchola, artista formadora, Henry y sus compañeros han aprendido técnica vocal, lectoescritura musical y composición. Incluso han creado instrumentos como sonajeros hechos de tapas recicladas, demostrando que la creatividad florece aún en los entornos más desafiantes.

Para otros internos como Omer Martínez, la música es un refugio, una manera de escapar de las dificultades del día a día. “La música es otra realidad, te ayuda a salir de los problemas”, comenta, mientras sueña con aprender a tocar guitarra cuando recupere su libertad.
El impacto del programa no se detiene en la música. Tulia Musumbite, una mujer indígena ticuna, ha encontrado en las actividades artísticas una forma de reconectar con sus raíces ancestrales. “Me siento orgullosa de mi cultura, de mis tradiciones y de la mística de la Amazonía”, afirma emocionada.
Adriana Prieto Arbeláez, jefe de Atención y Tratamiento del INPEC en Leticia, destaca que este tipo de iniciativas no solo transforman a las personas privadas de la libertad, sino que también fortalecen su comprensión del valor de la vida y la libertad.
Mientras los internos exploran la riqueza del folclor colombiano y descubren géneros como el vals, sus talentos musicales se convierten en una herramienta para sanar y soñar.
