El clan Gnecco fue el gran protagonista en las últimas horas en Colombia por su numerosa cantidad de acciones para evadir la justicia y mantener el poder en el departamento del Cesar, sumido en la corrupción y la pobreza.
En ese sentido, una nueva polémica relacionada con el clan salpica a la Corte Suprema de Justicia, en específico, a un magistrado de la Sala de Instrucción.

El caso se remonta a 2019, cuando la alta corte arrancó una investigación contra el senador José Alfredo Gnecco Zuleta, por la presunta compra de votos para las elecciones de 2018.
Dentro de esa investigación, el magistrado Francisco Farfán, habría ordenado interceptar las comunicaciones de ocho personas, entre ellas 5 miembros de la influyente familia del Cesar.
De acuerdo con una investigación revelada por Noticias Caracol, el mismo magistrado habría avisado al clan Gnecco sobre las interpretaciones que en ese momento cursaban sobre los miembros de la familia: José Alfredo Gnecco Zuleta, Cielo Gnecco, hoy prófuga de la justicia; Luis Alberto Monsalvo Ramírez, José Jorge Monsalvo y Luis Alberto Monsalvo.
El supuesto aviso del magistrado se habría dado 21 días después de haber iniciado las interceptaciones.
En cuanto a la orden de captura en contra de Cielo Gnecco, Noticias Uno expone que el diario El Tiempo reveló que un operador local (agente de CTI de la Fiscalía) le dijo a la ‘matrona’ que la iban a capturar:
