Con los Gilinski al frente la revista, la pauta se desplomó y lo único que la ha mantenido es la ayuda estatal.
La recordada e histórica revista colombiana ha venido siendo fuente críticas y comentarios en contra debido al contenido que se se ha posicionado desde hace algunos meses.
Todo parece indicar que los números no favorecen a los Gilinski y la dirección que le ha dado con sus publicaciones el medio de comunicación dirigido por Vicky Dávila.
Primera Página asegura que Semana que venía en el 2019 de unas ganancias de $12.535 millones, pasó a perder 21 mil 707 millones en el año de la pandemia.
Aunque Gabriel Gilinski indicó a comienzos del 2020 que él no operaría con ayuda estatal, la revista gestionó durante el 2020 el beneficio del Programa de Apoyo al Empleo Formal, Paef.
