El narcotraficante Dairo Antonio Úsuga David, alias Otoniel, ya está oficialmente condenado en Estados Unidos.
La justicia de ese país le dictó una pena de 45 años de cárcel, una de las más altas que pueden proferir los estrados estadounidenses a donde había sido extraditado desde Colombia.

La jueza Dora Irizarry, del Tribunal del Distrito Este de Nueva York, impuso exactamente la misma pena que había pedido la Fiscalía en contra desde el pasado 31 de julio, cuando se presentó la solicitud de la sentencia oficial contra quien fuera el máximo líder del Clan del Golfo.
La jueza Irizarry alegó que este es “sin duda uno de los casos más graves en términos de actividad de narcotráfico”.
Ante esto y teniendo en cuenta que fue el gobierno Duque el que lo extraditó, el expresidente decidió celebrar la noticia señalando que:
”Alias «Otoniel”, el criminal comparable con el narcotraficante Pablo Escobar, abusador de niños, niñas y adolescentes, asesino de policías y de líderes sociales, capturado durante nuestro gobierno, fue condenado a 45 años de prisión por una Corte Federal”.
El periodista, Daniel Coronell, replicó y cuestionó al exmandatario con una pregunta que puso a pensar a muchos en la opinión pública:
”Señor expresidente @IvanDuque ¿por qué extraditaron a Otoniel antes de que terminara de hablar sobre políticos, militares, policías (e incluso universidades) que tenían conexión con el Clan del Golfo?”.
En redes ya se pueden leer comentarios de miles de ciudadanos en los que se asegura que el único objetivo de esta extradición, era llevarse la verdad de Colombia.
