El exalcalde de Bucaramanga se refirió a su campaña presidencial en una entrevista que otorgó a Revista Semana.
Rodolfo Hernández, según algunas encuestas realizadas sobre los actuales precandidatos a la presidencia de 2022, se encuentra en el tercer lugar de los favoritos después de Gustavo Petro y Sergio Fajardo.
Por ello, a través de la conversación establecida con ese medio, da por hecho que será proclamado Presidente de la República y asegura que no tomará juramento en la Plaza de Bolívar, sino que cambiará el lugar al pueblo con menos recursos del departamento del Chocó y solo invitará a 5 personas.

Se refirió al protocolo que se acostumbra hacer a los nuevos candidatos y aseguró que: “Acabaré con esa lagartería” y añadió que lo único que su única adquisición será “un lapicero kilométrico para firmar el acta de posesión”.
A pesar de las polémicas que se han presentado por diferentes situaciones en las que se ha visto envuelto Hernández, muestra su entusiasmo y seguridad para llegar a ocupar ese puesto tan anhelado.
