En lo que va del año 2024 y según información del diario Opinión Caribe, 13 personas han perdido la vida. “Los hechos de sicariato se han vuelto pan de cada día, especialmente durante los fines de semana, siendo estos los detonantes del aumento de la delincuencia en el Distrito“.

Por ejemplo, hace algunos días el barrio María Eugenia vivió un enfrentamiento armado entre presuntos delincuentes y algunos uniformados de la Policía Metropolitana.

“El panorama de inseguridad se extiende por toda la ciudad, alcanzando niveles críticos en sectores como el barrio Pescaíto, El Pantano, Ayapel y Primero de Mayo“, indica Opinión Caribe.

De acuerdo al reconocido medio de comunicación de esa región del país, los ataques sicariales resultaron en la muerte de 6 personas, sumando un total de 13 víctimas mortales por arma de fuego en el mes de enero.

Ante esta situación alarmante, la ciudadanía exige medidas inmediatas y una mayor presencia de las autoridades en los barrios más afectados por actos delictivo

“No es posible que vayan 12 muertos en 22 días. Par eso era se robó la alcaldía de Santa Marta… para ver cómo se roban los recursos que deben ser invertidos en nuestra seguridad“, expresó el señor Manuel Rodríguez, habitante del sector.
