El parlamentario aseguró en la mañana de este jueves que construirá una nueva colectividad, pero que mantendrá su curul en el Congreso para contrarrestar el referendo que propone Uribe.
«Debo anunciar mi ruptura definitiva con la que fue mi casa política durante toda mi vida parlamentaria prácticamente, mi militancia con el partido ha terminado por diferencias ideológicas que vienen presentándose desde hace dos años, resultaron irreparables”, dijo el senador que también publicó un trino sobre la decisión.
En cuanto al referendo que promoverá en contra del jefe de Estado, Barreras aseguró que el proceso arrancará desde este 15 de octubre en varias ciudades del país.
«Nosotros sabemos claramente que este régimen que ha venido siendo cada vez menos democrático y autoritario debe ser derrotado en 2022, y eso hay que empezar a hacerlo desde ya. Vamos a empezar un proceso de revocatoria del mandato del gobierno Uribe-Duque, vamos a convocar a 2 millones de personas que con su firma nos permitan inscribir ese comité de referendo revocatorio», puntualizó el senador.
El parlamentario, dijo que el siguiente paso será el de buscar el apoyo de más de 8 millones de personas en las urnas para que quienes sientan que el gobierno del presidente Duque ha afectado a las instituciones, demuestren su apoyo.
El referendo modificaría 4 aspectos de la constitución:
- En esta crisis es indispensable garantizar a todos los colombianos por lo menos un salario mínimo.
- Todo aquel colombiano merecedor de pensión debe tener al menos un salario mínimo que garantice su jubilación.
- Educación universitaria gratuita.
- Revocatoria del mandato presidencial.
