Desde su cuenta de Twitter el presidente Gustavo Petro le hizo el llamado a las autoridades para investigar un millonario robo petrolero de más de 80 millones de dólares y que podría involucrar a funcionarios de la nacional Ecopetrol.
“Esta investigación de la Dijín muestra uno de los mayores robos al estado colombiano. Se robaron cerca de 80 millones de dólares en petróleo y los delincuentes eran “gente de bien“ de los sectores más pudientes del país. Debe investigarse si el robo contó con apoyos al interior de Ecopetrol”, dijo el mandatario en Twitter.

La investigación a la que hace referencia Petro fue publicada por el diario El Tiempo, el cual relata “miles de horas de interceptaciones telefónicas, facturas, fotos satelitales y bitácoras de buques cisterna tienen en líos al menos a 17 reputados empresarios colombianos”.
De acuerdo al medio de comunicación, la Fiscalía 42 especializada ordenó incautar cerca de “1,3 billones de pesos representados en barcos, un lujoso edificio en Cartagena, carros de lujo, megalotes, casas de veraneo y un centenar más de propiedades en al menos cinco departamentos del país”.
La investigación inicialmente tuvo origen con misteriosas salidas y entradas de buques petroleros que eran “cargados en puertos de la Costa Caribe” con rumbo a Singapur, Ámsterdam y a otros lugares Europa y Asia.
Según el diario, las agencias de inteligencia de estas naciones le reportaron a Colombia que la carga petrolera, equivalía a un millón de barriles de crudo colombiano al mes, “valorados en 10 millones de dólares. Sin embargo, no aparecía en los registros de exportaciones”.
Uno de los nombres que reposa en un expediente de la Fiscalía es el de Hernando Silva Bickebach, representante legal de Niman Commerce, catalogado como uno de los principales dinamizadores de la compra, venta y/o recepción de hidrocarburos bajo investigación.
Finalmente y producto de las investigaciones, para el próximo 3 de octubre “en un proceso paralelo al de extinción de dominio están citados a audiencia de imputación varias de las personas señaladas de participar en esta transacciones”, relata el medio que ninguno de los involucrados ha aceptado cargos e incluso hoy gozan de libertad.
