El Ministerio de Defensa diseñó una hoja de ruta para los próximos 4 años, cuyo propósito es generar las condiciones necesarias que contribuyan a mejorar la calidad de vida de los uniformados activos de la Fuerza Pública y la de sus familias.
Además realiza un énfasis especial en los jóvenes colombianos que prestan el servicio militar y/o policial. Para ello la política define importantes iniciativas estratégicas a través de los 8 componentes que la conforman.

- Apoyo psicosocial, espiritual y atención especial
a las familias. - Alimentación para las y los uniformados de la
Fuerza Pública - Estímulos e incentivos para el personal que
presta servicio militar y reservistas.
¿Qué tiene esta política en particular?
La nueva política permitirá al Ministerio de Defensa afrontar una serie de retos pendientes con los uniformados activos y en especial con sus familias, a través del abordaje de distintas problemáticas que históricamente han impactado en la consolidación y fortalecimiento del sistema de bienestar, el desarrollo humano y la movilidad educativa que aporte a su desarrollo integral.
“Pensando en la salud y el bienestar de nuestros uniformados, y asimismo garantizar su desempeño reflejado en el cumplimiento de su misión al servicio del país, la alimentación se constituye en uno de los principales componentes de esta política de bienestar“, se puede leer en la nueva política.
Luego el Ministerio agrega que este nuevo plan le permitirá al uniformado “cubrir sus necesidades básicas a través del consumo de alimentos de calidad que aporten los nutrientes necesarios que requieren, por el alto gasto energético, con el fin de mantenerlos saludables y en condiciones óptimas para realizar las actividades cotidianas“.
