La asesora del partido demócrata, Michele Manattan, anunció que Colombia podría ser investigada por las presuntas injerencias en las pasadas elecciones llevadas a cabo en ese país.
En medio de una entrevista con CNN, Manattan aseguró que entre los primeros temas a tratar en el Congreso se encuentra una investigación para aquellos países que interfirieron en los comicios presidenciales en los cuales salió victorioso Joe Biden.
Según señaló la demócrata, desde varias naciones se ejecutó una campaña de desinformación de la campaña Trump, en la cual Colombia tuvo cierto protagonismo, razón por la cual se abriría una investigación por parte del senado de los Estados Unidos.
«Estamos hablando ahora de la campaña de desinformación y la influencia de unos países. Todos sabemos bien que Colombia fue uno de los países protagonistas importantes. Yo creo que habrá investigación y audiencias en el senado y en la cámara de baja«, dijo la funcionaria.
Además, agregó que es importante frenar este tipo de situaciones para que no ocurran también en 2022 y que detrás de todo esto probablemente habrían cierto tipo de intereses.
«Es importante que no permitamos que esto continúe, yo estoy convencida que fue una prueba de intereses colombianos y otros de ver hasta dónde querían llegar. Si no frenamos esto, van a hacerlo aún más en 2022 y en adelante», aseguró Manattan.
