Tras la crisis que se vive en la capital a causa del segundo pico de contagio de COVID-19, la alcaldesa Claudia López realizó una rueda de prensa para dar un informe sobre la ocupación de Camas UCI en Bogotá.
En medio del evento, Angie Camacho, periodista de Noticias Caracol realizó una pregunta que no cayó muy bien a la mandataria.
«Un funcionario de la secretaría de salud de Bogotá, al igual que Fabián rosas, representante de la Asociación Colombiana de Especialistas, aseguran que los datos entregados en las clínicas por médicos y jefes de urgencias no corresponden a los que se ven reflejados finalmente de manera oficial (…) ¿que responder a estos casos?», señaló la periodista.
Ante la pregunta, la alcaldesa subió el tono y le pidió a Camacho tener «seriedad con los datos».
«¿Lo que estás diciendo es que los médicos son mentirosos? ¿Qué los gerentes de los hospitales son mentirosos? Porque son los médicos en turno los que les reportan a la gerencia del hospital cuántas camas hay ocupadas y cuántos pacientes entraron. Estas diciendo, Angie, ¿Qué los médicos y gerentes mienten en la información que le mandan a la Secretaría de Salud?», preguntó la alcaldesa dejando en evidencia su molestia.
Además, la mandataria finalizó pidiendo respeto por los médicos y le solicitó a los medios de comunicación tener mayor rigurosidad a la hora de difundir información al respecto
«Yo sí les pido que tengamos respeto. Porque son los héroes de la salud, pero al otro día les decimos mentirosos porque un señor que no pone la cara, anónimo, y que no tiene ninguna evidencia para sustentar su ‘denuncia’, sale a decir cualquier cosa», finiquitó Lopez.
